This handmade porcelain bell with wooden "clanker" makes a great chime!

Items such as bells, that require a certain amount of interaction, still need to be approached with care and sensitivity as there is always an element of fragility to ceramics, even if they are sturdy. Furthermore, the hemp cord will degrade if left in the elements as well as the wooden clanker becoming weathered. This bell is intended for indoor use or use in a covered area and taken down during high winds.
