Garden Green Strawberries Neckerchief
This playful piece is one-of-a-kind and sure to brighten your wardrobe and mood! Each image is hand-printed and inked from blocks I have carved. The neckerchiefs are sewn by me and some have a little more "character" than others (aka: a bit wobbly here and there). Please view all photos, I do not try and hide these quirky and rustic and CHARMING traits from you! Horizontal length: 30.5" Vertical length at center: 15"
I use an oil-based relief ink for fabric that does leave a very faint odor that will dissipate after a few washings. I washed the scarves twice on a warm/cold setting before these photos to be certain the ink has a permanent hold. Cold machine wash with a gentle machine dry or air-dry will give your scarf a long life by not shrinking it, fading the inks or wearing the linen fibers prematurely. A quick pressing is recommended, particularly if you machine dry.
The fabric is a Kaufman linen blend, either about half linen, half cotton or half linen, half rayon. Manufacturers' washing recommendations: Machine Wash Cold/ Tumble Dry Low. Besides wearing in the style shown in the photos, try rotating the triangle point to your back, to protect your neck from the sun. Also very cute loosely rolled and worn around your neck or in your hair!
PLEASE BE AWARE:
These scarves were not made to be used as a face covering to protect you from Covid-19, nor are they recommended for that purpose. They would NOT protect you. They are cut in a triangle, not folded from a square, and therefore are only one layer of fabric. Linen is also not one of the recommended materials to use as a face covering as it is a much looser weave than the appropriate cottons.
